The Verily brand was created by the entrepreneurial, social media veteran, Asha Phillips. Formerly Asia Editor at the first social media news wire, Storyful, her vision was to deliver consulting & training for news organisations, journalists, students & businesses on how to distill & verify the best social content possible.
Working closely in close partnership with the client team, the red team were tasked with the challenge to create a brand logo and supporting identity system to both distinctly capture the new brand personality and appeal to target customer segments. The branding was then consistently applied to a range of corporate and social media communications touch-points.
Asha Phillips, the Founder of Verily, commented, “I’ve been so impressed by the talent at red brand builders. The creative team were able to fully envision the brand positioning I created for Verily and brought the right character, style and features to the logo and identity design.”
Lennart Schaberg, red’s Creative Director, added, “The inspiration for the identity came from an octopus and her many arms required to fulfill multiple tasks at once – just like the target audience feel they need for searching, collecting and verifying information from a wide range of social media networks, as illustrated by speech bubble shapes.
These elements came together to create a unique and outstanding identity design that was purpose designed for thumbnail app use and application on a broad range of consistently banded and integrated online and offline communication touch-points.”
